This Traeger Smoked Flank Steak is deliciously marinaded then  smoked and reverse seared resulting in a tender piece of meat topped  with a flavorful basil chimichurri sauce.

Ingredients Needed

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

Mix all of the marinade ingredients in a small bowl.

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

Place the steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the top.  Allow the steak to marinade for 1 to 8 hours.

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

Place the marinated steak directly on the preheated grill grates and smoke for 45 minutes before increasing the heat and searing the steak on each side.

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

While the steak is smoking, place all ingredients for the chimichurri in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

Remove the steak from the Traeger after searing and allow it to rest for 5 minutes.

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

Slice the steak against the grain and top with the chimichurri sauce.
