This Smoked Jerk Chicken recipe is juicy and tender with a delicious and perfectly spiced marinade that has a spicy kick!  Made with fresh ingredients, this recipe will become a family favorite!

Ingredients Needed

Add all the ingredients for the jerk chicken marinade to a food processor or blender.

THE PRIMITIVE DISH

Process until all of the ingredients are very finely chopped.

You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less scotch bonnet peppers and/or jalapenos.

Pat chicken dry and place in a shallow dish (or ziplock bag) and  pour the marinade over the top.

Cover the chicken and place in the refrigerator up to overnight.

Preheat the Traeger or pellet smoker then place chicken directly on the grill grates smoke for 30 minutes.

Increase the temperature of the smoker and grill until the chicken is fully cooked.

Remove the thighs from the grill and enjoy!
