Whole30 Spaghetti Squash with Meat Sauce

This Whole30 Spaghetti Squash with Meat Sauce makes a great complete Whole30 dinner recipe. It’s hearty and packed with veggies, flavorful, and makes delicious leftovers!

Spaghetti Squash

  • 4 lb Spaghetti Squash
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1-2 Tbsp Avocado or Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Spaghetti Meat Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp Avocado or Olive Oil
  • 1 Large Onion diced
  • 2-4 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Celery diced
  • 1 cup Carrots diced
  • 3 Whole30 Compliant Sausages cut into ½ in” pieces
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 2 tsp Dried Basil
  • 2 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 3 Tbsp Coconut Aminos
  • 1 25 oz jar Whole30 Compliant Spaghetti Sauce
  • ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • ¼ cup Nutritional Yeast


Spaghetti Squash

  • Using a large, sharp knife cut the squash in half lengthwise.
  • Scrape out the seeds and drizzle with avocado or olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Place squash cut side down on a lined baking sheet and use a fork to pierce the skin several
  • times.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes at 425F just until skin is browned and squash is tender.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before using a fork to scrape out spaghetti squash into a bowl.

Spaghetti Meat Sauce

  • While spaghetti squash is baking, add onion, garlic, celery, and carrots to a large pan with oil over medium heat. Saute until fragrant and onion is soft and translucent.
  • Add the sausage and continue to saute until sausage is lightly browned.
  • Add ground beef, coconut aminos, and dried spiced and cook until beef is browned and cooked thoroughly.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, balsamic vinegar, and nutritional yeast and combine everything well. Allow to heat until sauce is warmed.
  • Serve over spaghetti squash, enjoy!
